Sales Policy

Deposits
If you are seriously interested in one of
our horses, you may want to be prepared to make a deposit upon your visit to
ensure the horse is not sold prior to arrangements for purchase being made.
It is also normal procedure for buyers to send a deposit prior to their
visit to ensure the horse will not be sold before they can come. Our horses
tend to sell very quickly and for this reason we regret that we cannot hold
any of our horses or give preference to any buyer without a deposit.
Deposits are equal to 10% of the advertised sale price and will entitle the
buyer to right of first refusal of the horse for a period of time not to
exceed 14 days. Once the deposit is made, the horse will not be sold to
another buyer for the agreed time period, allowing enough time for
arrangements for a visit, vetting and/or purchase to be made.
Deposits can be made by personal check, cashier’s check, wire transfer, or
cash. All deposits are non-refundable; the sole exception being where a
veterinarian deems the horse unsound and unsuitable for the intended
purpose. Should this occur, formal release of the veterinary report,
including all documentation used to arrive at the decision (x-rays, etc);
will be required prior to the issue of a deposit refund.
Pre-Purchase Examinations
We welcome an optional veterinary examination on any of our horses prior to
purchase. This may be performed by a veterinarian of the buyer’s choice and
may be as thorough as desired. All costs associated with the pre-purchase
exam are the buyer’s responsibility.
Payment
Payment is accepted via cashier’s check, bank/wire transfer and cash.
Personal checks may be accepted where upon previously agreed and will result
in a 10 day hold on taking the delivery of the horse. During this time buyer
may be responsible for board/training charges and other normal costs
associated with keeping the horse. No horse will be allowed to leave the
farm until paid for in full, with no exception. Upon receipt of payment,
ownership transfers to buyer, as does all risk of loss, injury, and any
related vet expenses, etc.
Transportation
Buyer is responsible for all arrangements and costs associated with
transportation of the horse once the purchase is complete.
Guarantees
Our horses are sold as-is with no warranties
or guarantees expressed or implied, and all sales are final. All known
issues or conditions are fully disclosed to the best of our knowledge prior
to purchase, and we regret that in fairness we cannot be responsible for a
horse’s condition once it has left our premises. A veterinary exam is
welcomed and recommended to determine the horse’s present condition and its
current and future fitness for a particular purpose. Due to our concern for
everyone’s best interest, please note that we reserve the right to refuse
sale to anyone if we feel it is not the right home or match
